photo: the Torontonians The Torontonians, Mammalian's teen collective, have commandeered room 201 at the Gladstone Hotel's annual alternative design event, Come Up to My Room. Applying a manic, hyper-teen aesthetic, the Torontonians ask for a little privacy in this very public moment while they hide in their blanket forts, looking at who-the-hell-knows-what on Reddit, whispering gossip about you and your ugly shoes, and praying they won't be killed in the avalanche of their piled belongings: dirty socks, bongs, manga, teddy bears, homework and more homework. Eff-you, salad, get out of my room! The Torontonians are the official Teenagers in Residence at the Gladstone hotel, often seen taking over Mammalian Diving Reflex's office on the second floor. Together we create performances, give lectures, make videos, dance on the street, take photos, draw penises, check cell phones, play cellos, draw bunnies, take the ttc, ride bikes and rap out about Rob Ford. Performance dates: Thursday, January 23rd from 4-8pm; Friday January 24th from 11am-8pm, Saturday, January 25 from 11am-10pm and Sunday, January 26th from 11am-5pm Where: Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen St. West, Toronto, Room 201 Cost: $8 entrance fee
