Darren was a keynote speaker, panelist and Artist in Residence during the (APAM) Australian Performing Arts Market's - Feb 2016 edition. It was a busy five days.

the Keynote focused on ideas around legacy, self-definition and civic significance, and asked the three speakers to address the ways they define themselves in relation to those questions.
Willoh S. Weiland (A.D of Melbourne based interdisciplinary organisation Aphids)
Nakkiah Lui (independent artist, writer, actor, activist, Gamillaroi/Torres Strait Islander woman) and
Kee Hong Low (Head of Artistic Development (Theatre) of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority)
Shared the keynote address with Darren. The event was hosted by Wesley Enoch, and featured the students of the Aboriginal Centre of Performing Arts.

The Talking Heads Panel Series: Utopia and the Institution: Socially Engaged Art Practices in the 21st Century featured:
