Adrift

Adrift is a performance intervention featuring young emerging artists who, together with Mammalian’s artists, drift throughout their local municipality, interviewing people that live, work, walk and roll in a specific area of the city.

The artists collaborate to gather ideas for participatory performances inspired by each and every person they’ve met, and pitch of these concepts to the community and audience members.

Adrift is both an exercise in artistic creation and a performance of a utopian world, providing a vision for a future where the word ‘community’ has more meaning.

Adrift can be presented as a standalone project or as Phase One of Mammalian Droppings.
