All The Sex I’ve Ever Had
Join our expert panel of local elders and learn about the experiences of a generation. In our youth-obsessed culture, All the Sex I’ve Ever Had re-establishes a community of wise elders to whom we can turn for advice gleaned from their vast wealth of life expertise. Taking the audience on a journey from birth to present day, these elders have a lot to teach us, a lot to share, and that aging can yield a way of being in the world that is open, generous and fearless.
Hands-down one of the best nights of my life.
Brodie Paparella, Broadwayworld.com (2016)
This beautifully simple concept is another masterstroke by Canadian theatre makers Mammalian Diving Reflex […] This is no more kiss and tell; with sensitive handling, these intimate experiences are laced together to reveal a broader social history, exploring the ways in which our older generations adapted to, rebelled against, and provoked the changing tolerances of our evolving societies.
Maxim Boon, The Music (2017)
It’s just joyous. I don’t know what else to say without breaking my pledge. It’s also painful. But beautiful painful. Life in all it’s brutal, tragic, uplifting and wonderful glory.
Kyle Walmsley, ArtsHub (2016)
As a standard-bearer of socially engaged art, it is a masterpiece.
Mao Nakamoto, Note Magazine (2021)
I’ve certainly never had any experience quite like it and can’t imagine I ever will again. I cannot recommend it enough.
McKenzie Fitz, Unpublished Zine (2022)
All the Sex I’ve Ever Had shows the fullness of life and manages to place human existence, which loves and suffers above all in the present, in the proportionality of a lived life. And so it is thanks to the five that life finally seems relative, amazing and comforting in sum. You go – I go – with hope from the evening.
