Many, Many Ways
Developed as part of Mammalian Droppings, Many, Many Ways is a guided walking experience inspired by Québec City’s Catherine Baril, who navigates her way around the city by foot, noticing the details that often get overlooked when you’re in a rush.
Audiences begin at the same location, but are soon dispersed, selecting one of three routes: Daydreaming, Blindfolded or Interaction. Along the way, guides help participants focus on the beauty they encounter: historical facts, personal memories, interesting shops and their owners, and small moments of joy and reflection. Participants are invited to interact with strangers and the city itself in playful, curious ways.
Some paths will briefly cross with others. At the end, the audience reconvenes at the same ending point, sharing what they saw, learned, and felt along their journey. Every journey was different. But they all ended in the same place.
